ANTENNAS FOR INTELLIGENT TRANSPORTATION SERVICES AND DEDICATED SHORT RANGE COMMUNICATIONS

Itasca, IL, Jan. 9, 2014 – Intelligent Transportation Services (ITS) trials using DSRC (Dedicated Short Range Communications) technology at 5.9 GHz are being used for Smart Highway projects ranging from Collision Avoidance to Truck Parking to Tolling.

The Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) portion of these projects can pose difficult challenges including size and performance trade-offs as well as weather resilience issues.

Mobile Mark’s V2I antenna solutions include Omni-directional antennas at 6, 9 & 12 dBi gain, Yagi antennas at 12 dBi gain, and panel antennas covering 45°, 60°, 90° & 120° sectors.

All of these antennas are compact and can be discreetly installed along the side of a highway or at an intersection and provide years of efficient, dependable coverage. In addition, all are field tested and dependable, and meet Industry and Military shock & vibration standards.

ECO Series
The ECO Series, Omni-directional Antennas, are available in three models ranging from 6 – 12 dBi gain. These antennas are enclosed in a tough fiberglass radome and terminate with an integrated N-female connector. They are durable enough for both indoor and outdoor installations. The standard mounting kit includes all hardware needed for installation.

YAG Series
Mobile Mark’s YAG12-5900, Yagi Antennas, have a slim and attractive profile measuring 7.5” (19cm) in total length, including mounting bracket offset. The mounting bracket allows for both vertical and horizontal adjustment. The antenna can handle up to 25 watts of power and provides a coverage range of 55° horizontal beamwidth and 30° vertical beamwidth.

PS Series
The PS Series antennas, Panel Sector Antennas, are available in four sector sizes ranging from a 45° sector to a 120° sector. This allows the network designer to choose the right combination of gain and sector coverage for optimal coverage in each installation. The pole mount hardware can accommodate up to 45° vertical down-tilt adjustment.
