The A1843 Series Antenna has 3dB gain and features a 5/8 wave whip with a base loaded matching coil. It has a power handling capacity of 200 watts.
In addition, these antennas use the finest corrosion resistant materials and finishes available. The base is triple plated chrome brass with a large insert molded low loss coil form and a spring loaded contact.
The large diameter coil form used in the construction of the loading coil allows for a wilder operational bandwidth and better matching characteristics than competitive models. Furthermore, the O ring seals and overlap construction to keep moisture out of the antenna.
