The ECOM9-5900 Series are mag-mount versions of the ECO Series omni-directional antennas.
They operate on the DSRC 5.9 GHz frequency band and are for ITS trials . Furthermore, this antenna has the ability to be moved from car-to-car.
In addition, these free space antennas are ground plane independent and mounts on any surface.
They use low loss 195 cable to improve efficiency. The vertical radomes are black fiberglass with an ASA base assembly. All ECOM antennas are weatherproof.
The antennas base is 2.6″ (66 mm) in diameter with a strong commercial magnet. The bottom of the antenna is scratch resistant to protect the vehicle.
Also, the Mag-mount antennas have 10 feet (3 m) of cable and SMA plug (male) connectors. Other cable lengths and connectors are available.
