Passenger-rail communication systems need cellular access, onboard Wi-Fi, and GNSS positioning to work within strict installation and safety requirements. The PR-LLPG508 supports those functions in a 1.25-inch-high antenna with 2×2 5G/LTE MIMO, 2×2 Wi-Fi 6 MIMO, and active multi-constellation GNSS.
Cellular coverage spans 617–960 MHz and 1710–6000 MHz, supporting global 5G Sub-6 and LTE equipment. Separate Wi-Fi elements cover 2.4–2.5 GHz and 4.9–6.0 GHz, while the GNSS element supports GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, QZSS, and BeiDou. This multiband architecture gives rail system designers a flexible platform for passenger connectivity, operational communications, and vehicle location.
The low-profile enclosure suits tall vehicles with height restrictions and installations where vandalism is a concern. The ground-plane-dependent design installs through the mounting surface with a feed-through stud. EN 50155 environmental compliance, NFPA 130 and EN 45545 fire-safety ratings, flame-retardant cabling, and documented shock and vibration qualifications address the conditions encountered in passenger-rail service. When properly stud-mounted, IP69K protection helps resist dust and high-pressure water, supporting a longer deployment life in exposed rail environments.
