SMWG-314 (LTE, DSRC, GNSS)

LTE, DSRC, and GNSS Surface-Mount Antenna

The SMWG-314 is a compact surface-mount vehicle antenna that gives connected-vehicle equipment separate connections for LTE backhaul, 5.9 GHz DSRC, and GNSS positioning.

Key Features

  • Maintains reliable LTE backhaul between vehicle equipment and cellular networks.
  • Dedicates one 5.9 GHz path to DSRC communications.
  • Adds active GNSS for navigation and position data.
  • Consolidates three connected-vehicle functions in one compact roof mount.
  • Routes each connection through a dedicated 15-foot cable.

Customization: Cable type, cable length, and connectors can be configured for specific installation requirements.

Product Description

Three Connected-Vehicle Functions. One Roof-Mounted Antenna.

The SMWG-314 integrates LTE backhaul, a dedicated 5.9 GHz DSRC path, and active GNSS positioning in one compact surface-mount antenna for connected-vehicle and intelligent transportation system installations. Its three-element design reduces the number of separate antenna housings and roof penetrations required to support those functions.

Reliable Cellular Backhaul: A dedicated wideband LTE element connects compatible vehicle equipment to the cellular network for onboard data communications.

Dedicated DSRC Connectivity: A separate element covers 5.8–6.0 GHz, keeping the DSRC connection independent from the cellular and positioning paths.

Positioning Built In: Active GNSS provides navigation and position data without requiring another antenna on the vehicle roof.

Three Functions, One Roof Mount: LTE, DSRC, and GNSS share one compact housing, reducing separate antenna units and roof penetrations.

Ready for Interior Equipment: Three dedicated 15-foot cables route each RF connection from the roof-mounted antenna to equipment installed inside the vehicle.

The SMWG-314 keeps three distinct ITS connections organized within one compact vehicle antenna installation.
