Quarterwave Device Antenna for ISM Band Applications
Itasca, IL – June 14, 2016 – Mobile Mark’s line of quarterwave device antennas has expanded to include the PSTG-915S, a solution for ISM band applications operating at 902-915 MHz.
The radome of the PSTG-915S is made of black matte polyurethane, a flexible but durable material that provides a protective waterproof coating. This radome also meets qualifications for the IPx5 water ingress rating.
This small sized antenna is the perfect solution for wireless devices such as access points or handheld portable units. The antenna is suitable for both commercial and consumer ISM band applications. The PSTG-915S has an overall whip length of only 3.2 inches (81 mm), making for a very compact and sleek design.
Due to the quarterwave design of these antennas, the ground plane that the antenna is attached to is an important factor that can change the overall performance. The PSTG-915S terminates with an SMA male plug, and an ideal configuration would have the antenna attached to a metal groundplane for the best possible performance.
