Itasca, IL – January 25, 2019 — The Mobile Mark Omni-directional BS450XL4.5 Series is designed for the Public Safety market in specific UHF Frequencies. This specific antenna (model #: BS450XL4.5-C) features UHF at 450-480 MHz with 4.5 dBd gain.

This base station antenna is constructed in a heavy-duty fiberglass radome and is ultraviolet inhibited. The heavy wall aluminum mounting sleeve is epoxy coated for superior weather protection. The radiating elements are constructed of copper & coppery alloy.

The antenna is rated at 250 watts and 4.5 dBd gain with a VSWR of <2.0:1. The BS450XL4.5 offers outstanding performance across the frequency bands 406-430, 530-450, 470-480, 470-490, & 490-512 MHz and 4.5 dBd gain to accommodate the different public safety applications.

Some application uses include federal and non-federal, industrial/business radio, public safety radio service (including unlicensed part 15). The most common uses in this band however are police, fire, ambulance, government and two-way radio services.

This heavy-duty infrastructure antenna measures 1” (2.54cm) in diameter by 67” (170cm) in height and weighs 6 lbs. The antenna has a wind survivability of 125mph and can handle 250 Watts of power and has a vertical beam width of 30 degrees.

It is recommended to use the optional BSMNT2 mounting kit, installation takes only minutes. The mounting sleeve is 1.35” (3.4cm in diameter by 10” (25.4cm) and is heavy wall epoxy coated. This antenna terminates with a female N standard, a pigtail is optional.

This “Made-in-the-USA” antenna solution for UHF & Public Safety applications is designed and manufactured in our Itasca, Illinois facility. It will meet Buy America purchasing requirements.
