Itasca, IL, September 3, 2015 – Mobile Mark, Inc. announced a new configuration for its popular LTM Series MIMO surface mount antennas that can be used for commercial or military wireless fleet management systems.
The new LTM602 model supports 3xMIMO WiFi, 2xMIMO Cellular LTE and GPS. It is exceptional in that all six antennas are housed in the same compact radome, which measures only 140mm (5.5 inches) in diameter with a low profile of 61 mm (2.4 inches) in height.
Until now, many wireless systems integrators using this combination had to install multiple antennas. But the LTM602 combines all of these high-efficiency antennas in one compact, surface-mount radome. A single LTM602 antenna take up significantly less space than multiple antennas and cut down on installation time and costs by offering a single mounting hole.
In addition, the newly released LTM602 antenna stands out because it is broad-banded enough to cover all Cellular and LTE frequencies worldwide from 694-960 MHz and from 1710-3700 MHz. The LTM602 contains two of these Cellular and LTE elements for 2xMIMO LTE.
All three of the WiFi elements cover 2.4-2.5 & 4.9-6.0 MHz, supporting true 3xMIMO WiFi performance for 802.11n and 802.11ac WiFi modems.
The new LTM602 model expands the existing LTM Series options. Other LTM models include the LTM502 which contains 5 separate antennas: two for LTE, two for WiFi and one for GPS. For wireless systems with different requirements, three other models are available. The LTM402 antenna contains 4 separate antennas: two for MIMO LTE, one for WiFi and one for GPS. The LTM403 also contains 4 separate antennas but with a different combination: one for LTE, two for MIMO WiFi and one for GPS. The 3-cable LTM302 contains two LTE antennas (for MIMO coverage at any LTE frequency worldwide) and one GPS antenna. The LTE elements in these antennas cover all Cellular and LTE systems worldwide from 694 MHz – 3700 MHz and the WiFi elements cover both 2.4 & 5 GHz.
“The LTM series antennas provide optimal performance for the latest wireless fleet management systems, whether they feature LTE MIMO modems, WiFi MIMO modems, or both. The LTM is ready to accommodate them all — while also supporting GPS — in one compact radome that lowers installation costs,” said Michael Berry, Mobile Mark president. “For any application that requires real-time video uplinks and downlink from vehicles — from emergency response to commercial transport — our LTM antennas are incredibly robust and dependable. In addition, we can customize the antennas with longer cable runs or specialized connectors to meet the unique needs of any implementation.”
Mobile Mark’s LTM antennas are sealed with a thick gasket and have a water ingress rating of IP67 when properly mounted. Each unit’s radome is made from a heavy duty UV-stable ASA plastic. All of the antennas feature 4.5 meter (15-foot) cables to accommodate larger transport vehicles, but customized lengths are available. The antenna’s rugged construction prevents damage from vandalism or accidental impacts. Offering outstanding technical performance, the RoHS-compliant LTM series is tested to industry and military specifications.
For heavy duty applications, such as would be found in military, defense or security applications, that LTM602 antenna can be foam filled to resist impact and high vibration.
Mobile Mark will highlight the new antenna series at the upcoming DSEI 2015 exhibition from 15-18 September in London, England.
