As the number of wireless applications explode, installing more and more antennas on a single vehicle is becoming difficult, if not impossible.
If your dilemma can be described as -- so many wireless applications, so little roof space -- then Mobile Mark has the solution with its three-feed and four-feed multi-antenna for mobile applications. The new SMW Series Surface Mount Multiband Antenna provides simultaneous operation on a variety of bands, all in one compact antenna.
In the past, each application would require its own separate installation. The SMW Series Multiband Antenna cuts down on installation time by reducing the number of installations as well as reducing the installation footprint. The SMW Multiband Antenna measures only 4.2-inches in diameter and 3.2-inches in height, significantly less than would be required for multiple antennas.
The fact that so much can be packed into a small package is certainly a strong selling point, but it is not the only reason the antennas are so popular. This Multiband Antenna is ideal for industrial and commercial grade applications. It is rugged, compact and water-proof.
The antenna is easy to install and mechanically sound; this thru-hole antenna is sealed to the mounting surface with a thick gasket and rated at IEEE spec IPx7 waterproofing. The radome is made from a heavy duty UV stable ASA plastic. The off-set conical shape and sturdy radome material resists damage from either vandalism or accidental impacts.
The Multiband Antenna, SMW Series, has also been popular for its electrical design. This high efficiency antenna has already passed PTCRB certification testing with a number of wireless systems.
