Schiller Park, June 16, 2009 – Mobile Mark’s new WiFi base station antenna provides coverage on all 802.11 bands (including 802.11a/b/g/n). Installing a dual-band omni-directional site antenna means the single installation provides coverage for both the hot-spot network at 2.4 GHz and the back-haul network at 5 GHz. This antenna can be useful for Public Safety officials who are using WiFi for Wireless Video Surveillance or as part of a Municipal WiFi network.
The new ECO5-2400/5500 Omni-directional Antenna is rated at 5 dBi gain across the entire bands: 2400-2500 MHz and 5150-5925 MHz. This solid gain performance provides balanced coverage on both portions of the network.
The slim-line ECO Series antennas are encased in a tough fiberglass radome measuring less than 11-inches tall and 1-inch in diameter at its widest point. The standard configuration terminates with an integrated N-female connector; but options available for a direct N-male connector or cable pigtail. Mobile options include mag-mount or trunk-lid mount.
The antennas are ground-plane independent so that they can be mounted in a wide range of setting such as a metal pipe, fiberglass structure, cement wall or any other material. The rugged radome is weatherproof and durable enough for either indoor or outdoor use. These antennas are suitable for single site applications or as part of a network of antennas.
With Mobile Mark’s WiFi base station antenna choices, network development is easy and economical.
