RFID Antennas

RFID systems are an emerging technology that's frequently becoming integrated into multiple facets of everyday life in the United States and the rest of the world. RFID systems (also known as radio frequency identification) allow information to be stored and retrieved from RFID tags. One of the most common uses for this type of technology today is the automated toll transponder. These transponders send a signal to a remote location whenever a car that's outfitted with one goes through a toll booth. This allows the toll authority to automatically withdraw the amount of the toll from the customer's pre-paid account. Another important use of RFID technology is in warehouses, where the technology is used to track inventory.

RFID systems can use a variety of antennas, depending on the intended use of the system. Animal and human identifica`tion tags may use low-frequency antennas, while more complex systems may utilize high-frequency antennas. Because there are such a wide variety of potential applications for RDIF technology, many new systems will require a unique antenna solution. These solutions are provided by professional antenna design and manufacturing companies. These companies work solely with antenna technology, designing custom solutions for each individual client on an as-needed basis.

Antennas for Any RFID System

RFID projects range from simple to complex. However, antenna designers give each project the appropriate individual attention it requires. The design of new antenna systems can often mean creating advancements in technology on the spot.
